THE Lambs took all three points but made hard work of it.
Tavistock's keeper Craig Howell pushed over a shot in the opening stages. Darren Halfyard shot wide before Steve Daymond rode a couple of tackles in the area to finish in fine style.
Chris Sanders then headed over after good play from Halfyard, Steve Brownlow and Graeme Kirkup. Daymond then saw his header cannon off the crossbar and the rebound fell to him only for him to head straight at the keeper.
The Lambs were guilty of missed chances but Halfyard came to their rescue on the hour as he won the ball in midfield to take a couple of strides and strike a low scorcher into the bottom of the net.
Mainstone pulled one back after 80 minutes when Dave Taylor headed home from a Tony Cawse free kick but it was too late and the Lambs held out for a deserved victory.

THE Lambs started the better with James Cole heading at the keeper after ten minutes and five later went ahead. John Gosling's run into the area saw him pass to Dave Symons to shoot home from 12 yards.
Rob Hawkins went close before Mark Wall put Darren Halfyard away and his cut-back was met by Symons whose shot was deflected into the air for Steve Brownlow to score with an overhead kick.
On the stroke of half-time Parkway pulled one back with a simply taken free kick. The quickly taken kick caught the Lambs asleep for Cooper to shoot over Craig Howells.
Chris Sanders came just after half-time to give the Lambs some width and helped to restore the Lambs' two-goal lead when his low drive was touched on by Halfyard.
Manager Craig Smith brought himself on to give the Lambs more width and was guilty of not scoring with his first touch as he sent the ball wide from 12 yards when unmarked.
Ex-Lambs striker Pete Tiffany pulled another back for the visitors when he latched on to a through-ball with more than a suspicion of handball before he lashed it into the net on 82 minutes.
A good end to the season with the Lambs finishing high in the table. All that remains is the P & D Combination Premier Cup Final against the winners of Roborough and Plymouth Parkway at a venue and date to be arranged.
