A TOTAL of 32 members of Tavistock Athletic Club were among the 2526 who completed the Plymouth Half Marathon on May 28. This was a good turnout despite a large number of the club?s faster members concentrating on other events. Jim Cole, the club?s best runner at the moment, turned in another outstanding performance to finish 9th overall in 1:13:38, and not far behind was Adam Holland, 22nd. in an excellent 1:18:04, and winner of the Under 20 title. Helped by the good running conditions, there were excellent performances all the way down the finishers? list, with several athletes finishing in the top 10 in their age group, and lots of Personal Bests despite Plymouth being one of the harder courses in Devon.
