Jewson South Western League Cup quarter-final

THIS spirited and gutsy display from the Lambs at rain-soaked Lux Park secured a semi-final place for them for the first time in ten seasons.
Tavistock welcomed back Andy Parnowski and Darren Halfyard and included Jeff Babb in the starting line-up.
Tavistock's central defenders, Darren Babb, Andy Parnowski and Dave Symons were superb and when the Blues' attack breached them keeper Andy Meeds was in good form.
The Lambs got off to the perfect start and forced a corner in the seventh minute. James Cole's initial cross found its way back to him and he immediately sent it back in for Jeff Babb to head, unchallenged, past former Lambs' keeper Richard Keith.
Meeds did well to save from Bradley Swiggs and Mark Skerton either side of Andy Bowker blazing over the bar from close range.
All the hard work almost went wrong deep into injury time as Swiggs got free to close in on goal. Meeds was again the saviour — as the former Lambs' striker attempted to go around him the keeper kept his feet and dived onto the ball before he could find the net.
The draw has yet to be made but into the hat go the winners of Falmouth/Penzance, St Blazey and Holsworthy along with the Lambs. The games will be on Tuesday and Thursday March 28 and 30.

THE Lambs followed their midweek cup victory with this comfortable win. They lost the services of Jeff Babb and Dave Symons, but Darren Halfyard and Craig Hodge stepped back into the starting line-up.
The Lambs were opening up the Magpie's defence with slick passing and movement. Cole, Halfyard and Mark Wall interpassed to send Chris Kiely away, but his effort went weakly wide. Halfyard shot straight at Annear, Gosling shot wide, McTighe was through only to have the ball taken off his foot as he was about to shoot and from the resultant corner Darren Babb headed over the bar.
The second half saw Chris Gott get in on the act when Hodge and Gosling set him up but his shot went straight to the keeper. Gosling could have rounded off his man of the match performance with a goal but shot into the side netting when put clear.
With 20 minutes left Craig Brook made his league debut replacing McTighe and the youngster quickly settled into the wing back position.
Andy Parnowski was fouled on the halfway line after he cleared the ball forward. From the free kick Hodge's long ball was partially cleared and it fell to Gott, lurking on the edge of the area, to side foot volley over a helpless Annear.
The points were assured in the 80th minute. Annear seemed to have the ball covered from Cole's corner, but it dropped to the ground and Halfyard pounced on it to turn and send it across the line from close range.
