AT Okehampton Golf Club on Saturday the monthly stableford was played.
Gusty and wet conditions made play difficult but there were still excellent scores in all three divisions.
Results: Division one: 1, M Aggett 43 points winning on last 6 off h/cap 9; 2, C Hurley 43 points, h/cap 6; 3, K Harkness 38 points, winning on last 6 off h/cap 12.
Division 2: 1, A Vernon 42 points, winning on last 9 off h/cap 17; 2, R Piper 42 points h/cap 17; 3, M Hern 37 points, h/cap 17.
The veterans held their Christmas shotgun for the Doug Cooper Cup. There was an excellent entry for this event.
The winner, with 37 stableford points, was James Robertson.
The party fours Christmas shotgun was played and conditions were gusty and extremely cold.
Results: 1, A Shapland, N Atkinson, R Metherell and Lyn Hazelton with 78 points; 2, P Martin, B Phillott, R Jones and Pat Kirby with 75 points; 3, K Wills, P Murphy, J Singer and Dawn Phillott with 74 points.
This was the last event for the 2003 captain Ted Boswell, who has had a wonderful year.
