I WOULD like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported the Okehampton fundraising group for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research over the past year.

This group is very small, set up a year ago. In our first year we have managed to raise £4,800 and it's all thanks to people donating items for sale and supporting the events.

Every 20 minutes, someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer. Leukaemia is the most common form of cancer in children. Research plays such a fundamental role in seeking new cures. I am sure each and every one of us knows someone, somewhere who has been diagnosed with a blood cancer.

The fundraising continues and our next event will be a book sale and coffee morning at the school room, Bratton Clovelly, on Saturday, April 6 from 10am to noon. If you would like to support the group in any way I would be very grateful.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch:

Thank you.
