MEMBERS of Sticklepath and Okehampton Conservation Group (StOC) have once again lent a kind hand to a project in the town helping Okehampton Primary School maintain their environmental area.
It is nearly ten years since the Okehampton Wildlife Watch Group first ventured into the overgrown and unused wild area and started to clear out the silted up pond.
To help get the area looking its best ahead of its tenth anniversary StOC came in to create a new fire pit, make improvements to the fire circle, clear the French drain, cut back overgrown willow, re-mulch the woodland path and cut long grass and weeds.
Fran Rickwood from the primary school expressed her thanks and the thanks of everyone at the school to StOC for its kind support.
A photographic display showing the development of the school's environmental area over the last 20 years will be put on show in the reception area of school for visitors to enjoy later this term.
If you have any old photographs contact Fran at the school.
