LEWDOWN U15s made a great start to the Palladium League season with a 16 run win over Ivybridge at Lewdown.
Put into bat after losing the toss Billy Searle (66) and Jack Williams (61 no) with Jake Barber on 5 put together a formidable 148.
The home side showed great spirit in the field and made early in-roads into the Ivybridge order. C Brennan 2 for 44, B Searle 1 for 11 and J Williams 2 for 11 were the pick of the Lewdown bowlers.
Josh Mailling the Ivybridge captain dominated the scoring with a superb 93 not out but the visitors ran out of overs with his side on 132.
