TWO tickets for next year's first Ashes test cricket match is just one of the lots being auctioned at a charity event on Friday, December 12.
A Christmas dance and auction has been organised by registered charity Treetops Pre-School, Bridestowe, which provides childcare for three to five year olds and three to 12 year olds in its holiday club.
The event will be staged in Bridestowe Village Hall at 8pm with live music by 'Contrast'.
Some of the lots being auctioned on the night will be a satellite navigation system, gliding lesson and a three month membership at Brentor Gliding School, a hamper of family days out at the National Aquarium, Flambards, Pennywell and Woodlands, a Christmas hamper with a large organic turkey and all the trimmings, a painting donated by Tanya Skeaping of Widgery Cross, and many more.
Entry to the event is £5 per person and will include a pasty and a pint — or glass.
Tickets should be booked in advance before Monday, December 8.
