FOUR charities are to benefit from the efforts of three Okehampton bank staff who have raised nearly £2,000.
Personal banker Pauline Taylor and cashiers Hazel Entwhistle and Liz Ash, who all work at the Barclays Bank branch in the town, participated or instigated fundraising events and the money they raised was matched by the bank. Pauline did a charity walk for the Devon Air Ambulance raising £285, Liz ran the Race for Life for Cancer raising £540 and also held a cake stall for North Tawton Primary School which made £165.
Hazel sold raffle tickets for CLIC Sargent raising over £1,000. With the Barclays match funding the total amount donated was around £3,700.
