We can find out through various avenues, some of which we are familiar with. The internet presents a problem for some but also provides a wealth of information on any subject.

As a senior citizen I am grateful to 'Learn Direct' a scheme used by tutors based in the Ockment Centre, which helped me take the first steps on the steep learning curve. The local branch of 'Age Concern' also continues to offer invaluable support.

What have I found out recently?

We might lose our district councils. The Secretary of State will not be making a final decision about a unitary authority until March at the earliest. How will this delay affect the elections to be held on June 4?
