A NUMBER of grants schemes aimed at supporting a variety of projects, including village halls, community projects, economic regeneration or development, arts projects and sports clubs, are available from West Devon Borough Council.

Cllr Robert Oxborough, the council's community services chairman said: 'We don't have a lot of money but we do have several small pots dedicated to supporting and enhancing community life. We can also provide advice and professional support which can often be as important as cash when trying to get a community scheme off the ground.

'I would encourage residents to take a look at our website and make an application if they have a worthy project.'
