AGE Concern received a 'tremendous response' to a special offer coach trip to last week's Royal Cornwall Show after an article appeared in the Times.

Trip organiser for Age Concern in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly Ann Lewis said a coach was laid on specially from the Gunnislake area due to the number of people who enquired about the trip.

'They all agreed it was a marvellous chance to have a day at the show, and as the travel, entry to the show, lunch and refreshments were all included for £6.50 it was an unbeatable offer,' said Ann Lewis. She said everyone had a wonderful time.
