North Tawton LRFC 27 Bideford LRFC 20 HAVING lost to Bideford in the last two seasons, Tawton knew they had to work hard, but within 15 minutes they were ten-nil down. Tawton's forwards started rucking Bideford off the ball. Fly-half Charlotte Tabiner gave good ball to Melissa Poynton who had good runs through the Bideford defence. Beka Rowe ran through to score Tawton's first try — which was followed by Claire Hooper to make it ten all. Maria Rowe worked hard cleaning up loose ball and attacked the Bideford backs. Lyndsey Prout scored in the corner after a kick and chase. Forwards and backs worked well for Tawton to produce a try for Debbie Ward, which was converted by new girl Naomi Wilkins.
