EACH year Hurdwick Golf Club links a medal with a putting competition and holds a collection to benefit the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. The division one winner was Alan Hill with a net 71. He was followed by Harry Bee with 73 and Neil Tamblin with 73. In division two, the best score of the day came from Derek Nicholls with a net 68. Derek also won the putting competition for the second year with just 26 putts. He was awarded another new putter and is now spoiled for choice! In second position was Chris Tear with 69 and in third spot Mike Brown with 75. The leading lady was Yvette Wood with 73 who won on back six countback from Pam Atkins, who also shot a 73. The 'Twos' Sweep was shared by Andy Furse and Chris Tear.
