CAPTAINS Richard Freedman and Phillipa Smith dominated their age groups in the 25m, 50m and 100m finals of the Tavistock Club Championships.
They took gold in the100m fly, freestyle, breaststoke, backstroke and IM. Rachael Kelly took gold in every event except the 100m fly in the girls? 14/under, which was convincingly won by Jessica Barnes, with Christopher Ralph having a clean sweep of golds in the boys? 14/under events.
Jake Broome and Phillip Webb shared the golds in the 12/under events, with Jake taking the 50m back, free and fly with Phillip snatching the gold in the 50m breast by less than 0.5 second and in the 50m IM.
Rebecca Mills proved to be unbeatable in the girls? 12/under events winning the 50m fly, free, back, breast and IM.
Isobel Grose, swimming in her first club championships, took gold in the 10/under 50m breast, back and free but saw the gold in the 25m fly go to Millie Chinn.
In the boys? 10/under Thomas Crocker took gold in the 25m fly and touched fractionally ahead of Sam Harmsworth to take gold in the 50m back in an exciting finish.
The 50m free, equally as exciting as it was close, saw Joshua Hughes, Sam Harmsworth and Thomas Crocker battling it out for the medals with Joshua being awarded gold, Sam taking silver and Thomas bronze ? all touching within 16/100ths of a second.
In the 8/under girls, Natalie Greep claimed gold in 25m free, back and breast with Rosanne Walsh taking silver with Jonathan Evans taking gold in the boys? 8/under.
