THE Spooners and West Dartmoor Hunt held their Point to Point at Cherrybrook on Sunday.

A large crowd braved the cold weather with the good to firm going ensuring fast racing with some close finishes.

A minute's silence was held before the start in memory of former Tavistock College pupil Si Higgins, who died on Friday at Kingsteignton while working on a motocross circuit.

The first race was won by Sourton based owner, trainer, rider Jimmer Cole on his own Furmagiatt.

Last year's maiden race winner Indiana Bay has moved up the ranks to win the mixed open race.

Another course specialist who won the intermediate last year won the confined hunts race on Sunday was Hameldown Tor, ridden by Ed Barrett.
