CASTLE Drogo will aim to prove 'Boilers Aint Boring' on Saturday (August 20) with a quirky tour around their heating system.

Visitors will have the chance to descend deep into the castle with a visit to the original Lutyens designed boiler room. From there guests will get the chance to climb onto the roof to see the magnificent view of the Teign Valley, and learn more about how that will soon be providing the castle's heating fuel.

There will also be a trip to the new environmentally-friendly biomass boiler, where you can learn about biomass and see the boiler in action.

It is a unique opportunity to take a peek at the innermost workings of Castle Drogo — note the tour includes lots of stairs, is not suitable for children under 12 and booking is essential.

Tours start at 10am and 2pm costing £5 per person, with each tour taking between an hour to 90 minutes. For more information ring Castle Drogo on 01647 433306.
