GIRLS' football teams from Okehampton kicked off their first competitive season in the Devon League last weekend.
Two teams have been set up, one for the Under 12 age group and one for Under 14s. The U12s team trains on a Tuesday, between 5pm and 6pm in the sports hall at Okehampton College. The U14s train on a Thursday night on the all-weather pitch between 7pm and 8pm.
Stuart Lord, of OCRA, said all abilities were welcome along to join in football skills training and practice matches.
This is the first year the teams have entered the Devon League and is the culmination of five years of work developing girls' football in Okehampton, said Stuart.
