AN OKEHAMPTON-based chef is forging links with young people in the area interested in going into the catering industry through an organisation he set up.
Paul Hostan-Pegrum, recently appointed chef at Betty Cottles, just outside Okehampton, set up the Chefs4Chefs organisation to help let young people get a taste of cooking for a living.
Chefs4Chefs is a non-profit making organisation and its funds are put back into the grassroots level, providing scholarship programmes and incentives for up-and-coming chefs.
Mr Hostan-Pegrum is keen to give Okehampton College students the chance to learn about the catering industry and is discussing with the college the possibility of holding a demonstration at the college.
