YOUNGSTERS looking for something to do on a Saturday afternoon are invited to a fortnightly skating session at Parklands Leisure Centre.

The roller disco and games sessions are held at the centre fortnightly, run by volunteer Cliff Linsdell.

Cliff completes a 100-mile trip from his home in Newton Abbot to run the sessions in the hall, with games like stuck in the mud, tag and limbo for children.

He has been voluntarily running skating sessions across Devon for more than 30 years.

Parents can attend the session with their children, or leave them at the session.

Cliff said: 'The sessions help to keep people fit, and it is a fun activity for parents to do with their children, or for children to do with the group.

To keep the sessions going, more people are needed to come and take part. The sessions run from 2pm to 4pm once every two weeks, with the next on Saturday, October 27.

The sessions cost £3 each. Anyone wanting to take part is asked to bring along their own roller skates or roller blades. For more information, call Parklands on 01837 659154.
