STAFF and supporters of West Devon-based children's charity CHICKS (Country Holidays for Inner City Kids) are dusting off their walking boots with the aim of conquering the highest peak in North Africa and are looking for more adventurers to join them.

The bespoke fundraising mountain trek has been organised exclusively to raise funds for CHICKS and the event partner the Book Bus Foundation.

The CHICKS team of trekkers will set out on September 26 from London to Marrakech to conquer Mount Toubkal (4,165m) in just two days. Trekking with local Berber guides through stunning high Atlas scenery, the team will experience its culture and lifestyle first hand. Previous trekking experience is not necessary, but you do need to be prepared to get fit for the mountains and have the desire to succeed.

To find out more about the Toubkal Trek, an information evening is being held on Monday (February 3) at 6pm at VentureCo Worldwide, Lockyer House, Paddons Row, Tavistock.
