FOLLOWING the success of last year's reunion evening, Hatherleigh Town Football Club will be holding a similar event this year. However, this year's event will be held in the afternoon, to allow more time for socialising than was possible last year.

With the approach of the club's centenary in 2004, it is hoped that this event becomes an annual affair, providing a springboard for the centenary celebrations.

The afternoon, on Sunday September 2, will start at 2pm at the Sportsfield, with a round robin tournament of 15-minute matches - first kick-off at 2.30pm. The teams will comprise players past and present, but the nature of the day is one of socialising and catching up on news, not hard competition.

There will be a barbecue and refreshments and past players and spectators are welcome.
