A WEST Devon charity was thanked at a recent meeting of the Meldon Village Hall Trustees.

The trustees were extremely grateful to the Okehampton United Charities for a grant of £2,000 towards the installation of solar panels which should provide an income to help towards the annual running costs for the foreseeable future.

The treasurer reported that the income from hall hire had remained steady throughout the summer.

General expenses were the annual tests and usual running costs.

The date for the annual Harvest Supper was arranged for Friday October 12 and a skittles evening will be held on Saturday November 17.
