CALLINGTON Community College has achieved a 97.3% A*-G pass rate at GCSE with 56.4% of pupils gaining A* - C. The college said many students had achieved a wide and varied array of GCSEs but had also experienced non-examination courses which had contributed to their wider education and life skills. Modern Foreign Languages, which included French and German, had made a big improvement on last year?s results with an overall 50% pass rate. Almost all the students taking GCSE Astronomy, run as part of the Extension Studies programme at Callington, achieved an A grade or better. The Accelerated Maths group, which consists of Year 10 students taking their GCSE Maths a year early, had a 100 % pass rate at A-C with 75% of the students achieving A or better.
