A CALLINGTON man has appeared in court charged with causing grievous bodily harm.

Marc Farrant, aged 31, appeared before Bodmin Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning.

He was arrested after an incident in Well Street, Callington, on Sunday, in which a man was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.

Mr Farrant, of Fore Street, Callington, was remanded in custody to appear at Truro Crown Court on November 16.

A second man, also from the area, has been released on police bail until February 1.
