NEW ZEALANDER Gary Sturgess will be travelling the UK this month with his wife on a genealogical hunt to discover his ancestral roots.

The couple, who will be arriving on Friday September 23, will be travelling around Devon and Cornwall in an attempt to make contact with any relatives of Gary's Grandfather, William Henry Martin, born June 1879, who may still be living in or around William's home town of Broadwoodwidger or in the Devon and Cornwall area.

Gary has some limited knowledge of his Grandfather's family so far.

His father was Henry Martin and his mother was Ann Martin, formerly Northcott or Norcott.

Gary said: 'My grandfather had a sister Bessie, and a brother Harold and a half sister Gwen.

'My Grandfather came to New Zealand and was 32 when he married my Grandmother Olive Violetta Read, in 1912 in Wellington.'

Gary and his wife will be in the UK on their search between Saturday September 24 and Friday September 30, and would appreciate any information that could be given on missing links in his family.

Gary can be contacted on +64 274 303770.
