WEST Devon's garden waste and thick card collection service, which operates from various locations throughout the borough, will be starting again next month.

The bring service takes garden waste, including grass cuttings, branches up to the thickness of a wrist, hedge trimmings, weeds, plants, leaves and twigs, as well as corrugated card.

These should be suitably bagged – old compost sacks are ideal – and the crew will happily help empty and return them to use again. The material collected will be composted locally.

The service will be in:

l Yelverton (Leg O'Mutton car park) from 9am to 1pm and Peter Tavy (junction of lane to Inn) from 2pm to 4pm on April 3, April 24, May 15, June 5, June 26 and July 17

l South Zeal (recreation ground car park) from 9am to noon and Hatherleigh (Market car park) from 1pm to 4pm on April 10, May 1, May 22, June 12, July 3 and July 24

l Northlew (the Square) from 9am to noon and Bratton Clovelly (Parish Hall car park) from 1pm to 4pm on April 17, May 8, May 29, June 19, July 10 and July 31.

As the service operates in communal areas, please do not just leave waste at the site. Trade waste cannot be accepted.
