A GARDEN in Gulworthy has reached the finals of the Westcountry Garden of the Year competition. John and Dorothy Ladlow moved to Gulworthy four years ago, to discover a garden covered in brambles, rubbish and car parts. Since then they have created winding paths, terraces, raised beds and used certain plants to encourage wildlife. The garden, which has been open to garden clubs to raise money and awareness for the horticultural charity, Perennial, will be on an ITV television programme today (Thursday) at 7.30pm.
