A BRENTOR nursery is to feature in a BBC TV gardening programme being broadcast next week.
An interview with John Carter, of Rowden Gardens near Brentor, will be seen in The Water Garden, the first in a new BBC 2 series call Small Town Gardens.
Rowden Gardens was created from a bare field 20 years ago by John and his wife, Galen.
Specialising in aquatic and unusual plants, the nursery has been featured in several other TV programmes.
Galen said: 'We've now got the largest collection of water iris in the country, many of which we bred ourselves and carry the Rowden prefix.'
She and John export plants all over the world and have many international as well as British visitors.
'We often say we get more visitors from Japan than we have from Brentor!' said Galen.
The Water Garden, presented by Paul Cooper and featuring John Carter of Rowden Gardens, can be seen at 8pm on Friday May 11 on BBC2.
