SPRING into action and help raise money for Brentor based children's charity CHICKS during 2007 by taking part in its wide range of events. CHICKS provides free respite breaks to disadvantaged children from across the UK at its two centres in West Devon. The programme of events starts with the Plymouth Half Marathon on May 27, followed by the charity's golf day on June 1 at Trethorne Farm. On June 23 there is an abseil down the side of the Aquarium in Plymouth and the British 10k race in London on July 1. CHICKS event co-ordinator, Nicola Bean, said: 'Spring is the perfect time to start being more active and what better reason that raising money for disadvantaged children?'
