YOUNGSTERS from Tavistock College got the chance to train with Plymouth Albion rugby stars recently ? all in the name of National No Smoking Day.

The children, from year seven, took part in a series of energetic games and exercises with the aim of learning about the dangers of cigarettes.

In one exercise, groups were given the task of creating their own anti-smoking chants. The winning group will get the chance to sing their chant at a forthcoming Plymouth Albion match. The children joined in circuit training with the players, competing against ?Big Cig?.

The event was organised by the Smoking Advice Service, who visited four schools throughout the day.

Sarah Wyatt, co-ordinator of the Smoking Advice Service said: ?This is a fun way of raising awareness and giving the children the opportunity to think about smoking.

?Hopefully meeting the players will make the day stick in their minds so they never forget the message.?
