MONIES raised from a fun day held in September in aid of Okehampton-based rescue charity Rapid UK have amounted to £2,000.
The charity event was held at the Fox &Hounds Hotel, Bridestowe and included a car boot sale, bouncy castles, dog show, demonstration of search and rescue techniques from one of Rapid's specially trained dogs, sheep derby, football penalty knockout and a firework display.
Over 500 people visited the fun day which raised a record amount from a charity event supporting Rapid UK.
Organiser Geraldine Jury has expressed thanks to everyone who made the day such a success and she is planning an even bigger bash next year.
