From the bins to the Greens!

A SEASON ticket for Plymouth Argyle was the surprise gift presented to Maurice Thomas, of Whitchurch last Friday, on his retirement from Focsa in Tavistock.

Mr Thomas, who previously worked with Biffa, is a great lover of sport and is very much looking forward to his retirement.

'I'm going up to watch Arsenal and Liverpool — we like visiting National Trust gardens — I've got plenty to do,' he said.

And for the occasion, Mr Thomas's wife Heather made a splendid retirement cake — decorated with rubbish bins!
