PUPILS at South Tawton Primary School have been taking part in a pen-pal project with a Continental twist.

Year 5 children have been corresponding with a school in Chalons en Champagne, in France.

They have been sharing letters, drawings and photographs, describing school life in each country. The letters have taught the pupils about French culture, and helped improve their French vocabulary and letter writing skills.

The project continues for several more months, and in the process all the pupils have made new friends across the Channel.
