THE recent Christmas sale organised in Okehampton's Charter Hall by members of the Cosdon Group of Friends of St Loye's from South Zeal, Sticklepath, Belstone and other villagers showed yet again that people in and around the Okehampton area value and support the St Loye's organisation.

The sale raised £649 — the ladies of the Group of Friends extend thanks to everyone who attended the event and to those who gave their time and effort to staging it.

Throughout the year, the ladies knit and sew items that the public have long recognised as being of a high standard. Their work reflects that of St Loye's as a charitable organisation that trains and assists those with disabilities, which might otherwise hold them back, to gain skills and business acumen that has led many into full-time employment, and to create businesses that employ others.
