THE Devon Friendly Judo Competition held at Okehampton was well attended with clubs from all over Devon taking part.

The event was a great success, with many of the children competing for the first time, and Okehampton Judo Club members represented the club very well.

Primary group (under 10 yrs): silver, Ben Bowles and Jay Ratcliffe; bronze, Sam Cawse and Angus Bellamy. Junior group (under 16yrs): gold, Alfi Budd and George Ogbourne; silver Haydon Perrior and Taylor Mansfield; bronze, Robert Wood and Alex Fox; senior group (over 16yrs), gold, Richard Plumpton, bronze, Matt Jelley.

Judo is a great way to build confidence, self control and respect.
