A free talk on local bird species will be taking place in Mary Tavy next Tuesday.

The talk on local birds will be by Charlie Elder, expert and author of The Everyday Guide to British Birds. It will take place at the village's Coronation Hall on Tuesday (January 24) at 7.30pm, with doors opening at 7.15pm for free hot drinks.

The event is suitable for beginners and more experienced bird watchers.

The event has been organised by the Mary Tavy Nature Group. There is also free parking.
