LOCAL dog owners are being given the opportunity to bring their pets to free obedience training sessions on Dartmoor as part of the National Park Authority's continuing campaign, Paws on Dartmoor.
The training sessions will take place on August 3, 4, 17 and 18, and are open to dog owners who regularly walk their dogs on Dartmoor. Priority is being given to puppies and young dogs under 12 months old.
The sessions offer a combination of indoor and outdoor training in the Burrator area and are funded by the authority as part of the Paws on Dartmoor campaign which promotes responsible dog walking in the National Park, and provides advice to dog owners on canine health issues.
There are a limited number of spaces following the highly successful introduction of dog training last year.
