DEVON U15 girls. which includes Hatherleigh Cricket Club's Clara Nielson and Frances Lausen, continued its unbeaten run in the ECB U15 West League.

At Gloucester, Devon made 185 for 7 in 35 overs. Frances Lausen top scored with 63 before being run out by a direct hit. In reply, Gloucestershire struggled against accurate bowling and could only total 86. Clara Nielson bowled six overs and took one wicket for 10 runs.

On Friday at Torquay, Devon won a much closer game against Somerset. Somerset made 123 for 5 in 35 overs. In reply, Devon began briskly but lost wickets.

However an excellent fifth wicket stand between Julia Hayes (25) and Rebecca Piddock (24 not out) enabled Devon to win by four wickets.
