TAVISTOCK and Villages Development Forum is asking residents to let them know what the burning issues are, which may never get talked about or appear to have been forgotten or ignored.

The community forum for the town and surrounding parishes, known as TaVi, has been in existence for just over a year, meeting on the second Tuesday of each month.

During the past year the group, as well as discussing local issues, has been undertaking a review of its Community Led Plan, 'Markets, Moors and Meadows'.

Topics such as jobs, travel, transport and young people have been taken in turn, with experts and organisations responsible for making things happen being involved.

The revised plan is ready to be relaunched and chairman Christopher Kirwin said the emphasis needed to switch to what the community wanted to talk about.

'There has always been this spot on the community forum agenda for local residents to raise issues of importance to them, but now it is time to look in a bit more depth into those issues,' Mr Kirwin said.

Residents are invited to the next meeting, which will be on Tuesday, December 8 from 2pm to 4pm in the town council chamber in the council offices at 5 Drake Road, to voice their concerns. Representatives from each of the local authorities and other key service providers will be present.
