Frank Harper, of Widemouth, would like to hear from families of ex-RAF and WAAF members who have died as as a result of enemy action, accident or natural causes and are buried in the two counties.
Mr Harper already has the names of five people buried in the West Devon area — they are Peter Neri in Tavistock Cemetery, John Richards in Sydenham Damerel Cemetery, Reginald Reddecliff in Bere Alston Cemetery, and Anthony Bone and Edwin Medder in Whitchurch Churchyard.
The information will be collated to create a roll of honour.
