A WOMAN from Walkhampton is soon embarking on a seven day trek through Romania to raise money for World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA). Krista Linnen, 29, a fully qualified chiropodist, will trudge approximately 60km through the Carpathian Mountains and is hoping to raise a minimum of £1,700 for the charity before she goes on September 22. The charity are working to provide a sanctuary for European brown bears who have been forced to live in cages outside restaurants as tourist attractions.
