CALLINGTON and District Foodbank has opened a satellite outlet in the Calstock area.

A joint venture between the Methodists and the Anglicans in Calstock parish will be run at the Tamar Valley Methodist Church where there will be a distribution point.

It will be manned each Thursday from 10.30am to 11.30am and food parcels will be brought to the church ready for distribution to those who need them just before opening time.

The opening times of the distribution point ties in with the Tamar Valley's Open Door when the Methodist Church is open for coffee and anyone wishing for quiet time or prayer.
