ENERGY fields will be explored at the first meeting of Okehampton?s Awareness Group in its new format. The new group will be running a series of whole day workshops allowing greater involvement and more in depth discussion, starting with the visit of two renowned speakers on Sunday, April 2, who will present their ideas on energy fields. Liz Welch RPP RCST sees herself as a dimensional explorer, experimenting with bringing together the different levels of perception which we can experience when using different parts of ourselves. She is working to make connections between how she perceives the human being and nature when engaged in healing work or meditation and what science is teaching us about how our bodies work. Liz will be looking at biochemistry and genetics and exploring the newer sciences of Psychoneuroimmunology, the study of the interaction among emotions, the brain and the immune system, and bioelectromagnetics, the study of how electromagnetic fields interact with and influence biological processes. The afternoon speaker will be Mandy-Louise Fletcher from Chagford who will look at the simplicity of connecting with the divine energies, putting aside our minds and working with our hearts. Mandy-Louise has a knack of helping people discover deeper layers of their spiritual truth and will answer questions relating to the topic. Various local therapists will also be attending to explain their work and there will be the chance to try a bio energy detox.
