TAMAR and Tavy?s first gig race of the season got off to a flying start at Saltash for the Three Rivers race. The race, over five miles on the rivers Tamar, Tavy and Lyner, saw 24 gigs , each entering two teams in near perfect rowing conditions. Tamar and Tavy?s gig Genette had only been in the water for two weeks and the committed crews had excellent results, finishing in a combined time of one hour, 45 minutes.
