THIS year marks the 60th anniversary of the National Trust's beautiful Buckland Abbey being open to the public, and to commemorate the event the trust is 'saying it with flowers'!

As part of the anniversary celebrations, free, daily, drop in workshops will be run from now until June 26. Visitors can come and make flowers out of paper, fabric, buttons, ribbons and other recycled materials. These flowers will be kept at Buckland Abbey and used to create a colourful floral display. People will be able to return to admire their creative efforts as part of the finished display at the 'Blooming Celebration' flower festival, running from July 9 to 15.

As well as flower making, there are lots of other activities and events to enjoy during the Easter holidays too. Try a taste of life in a Victorian kitchen, try on a Tudor costume or enjoying some music from Mock Hobby Horse in the Great Hall; or perhaps join a guided walk around the estate? Or you could book onto one of the watercolour, silk or felt workshops, or meet baby lambs at the annual Sheep Day.
