RESIDENTS in Lamerton will be celebrating harvest with a bit of a difference this year as the village holds a flower festival hosted by St Peter's Church.

All the flower arrangements at the festival will be created with a harvest theme — co-ordinator of the event is Pam Paine.

She said: 'It is three years since we last held a flower festival in Lamerton. It seemed a marvellous idea this year to link the flower festival with harvest, and will be a chance for us to celebrate the work and achievements of our farming community.

'As always, all of the funds raised will go towards the upkeep of our village church.'

The flower festival will be open from tomorrow (Friday) until Sunday, from 10.30am until 5pm. Refreshments will be available throughout each day, with the festival concluding with a songs of praise at 6.30pm on Sunday.
