WITH matches coming thick and fast, players from both Chagford teams could be forgiven for being leg weary and sick of the game. However, the commitment at all levels has been great and the matches have, in the main, been close and competitive.

THE Reserves have faired a little better of the two sides with three wins and a draw to show for their efforts.

In back to back midweek games, they firstly beat Marldon through goals from Chris Woof (2) and one from player/manager Simon Ralph.

THE following night they drew with high-flyers Stoke Fleming, Martin Haxton, Stuart Wills and veteran Gary Mortimore scoring the goals.

Stoke Fleming did well to fight back for the 3-3 and Chagford can see it as a well earned point.

OVER the weekend a depleted Harbertonford side were put to the sword 8-2 on Saturday. Chris Woof hit a hat-trick, Martin Haxton and Jerome Whatley a pair apiece with James Hambly chipping in with one.

Brixham Villa thirds 1

A MORE formidable Brixham Villa side visited on Sunday and were sent back to the south coast with a 2-1 defeat. Whatley again scored twice, his second being a second penalty in consecutive matches.

l With no midweek games this week the Reserves have matches on Saturday, at Babbacombe Corinthians Reserves (3pm), and at home to Broadhempston Reserves on Sunday (1pm).

DESPITE goals from Steve Scott, Robbie Miller and an own goal, Chagford twice let slip a single goal lead.

TWO nights later lowly Totnes and Dartington Reserves were despatched 3-1, Robin Crowther-Smith, Steve Scott and Oscar Emanuel serving up a deserved victory.
