Bodmin Trophies Duchy division 4 west

Lewdown 2

Bere Alston Reserves 5

BERE put themselves under pressure early on, conceding a scrappy goal that saw keeper Montgomery flapping and Lewdown pounce on the loose ball.

Bere did not let this deter them and after a free kick, which clipped the cross bar, top scorer Nathan Endean floated a sensational free kick which had the home keeper stranded as the ball drifted over his head.

The second half saw Bere come out firing. Endean whipped a perfectly laced free kick neatly to the boot of captain Pratt, who with a sweet volley placed it in the back of the net.

Lewdown did not settle and scored a second.

With 20 minutes to go central midfielder Rob McKinnon slotted a through-ball for Charlie Hone to put it into the goal. With this Bere sensed a comprehensive victory on the cards.

Outstanding stand-in left back Chris Gaul launched the ball forward to Endean who was chopped down just inside the box. Endean hammered the penalty rebound home.

With the minutes ticking away, right back Ryan Kingdom sent the ball forward along the wing to Luke Hann, who put Hone in. With tremendous skill Hone chipped the remaining defender and launched a thunderbolt into the side of the goal.

Bere?s have now notched a run of five league wins on the trot.

Bere Alston Reserves are home to Garrison on Saturday.
