THE twelfth event of Okehampton Cycle Club?s summertime trial series took place last Thursday.
In damp and blustery conditions, five competitors took part in a ride against the clock on the demanding 11.2-mile course from Mole Avon to Whiddon Down and back on the old A30 road.
Mike Rice achieved the best time of the night clocking 32.01. Jacky Rice came second with 32.28 and Blue Ramsey was third with 32.37. There was also a new personal best time for Dave Baskerville of 34.25.

Anyone is welcome to participate on a roadworthy bicycle. If you are interested the meeting place is Mole Avon car park, on Thursdays ready for a 7pm start.
